EU Commission: RISER citizen registration system a success story for eGovernment
The EU Commission has applauded the cross-border citizen registration information service RISER as a success story for eGovernment. The objective of the introduction on to the market of an online service for address searches has been achieved. Cited among the success factors was the exemplary implementation of data privacy protection and the integration of the different citizen registration systems in Europe. With this, RISER represents a role model for forthcoming eGovernment proposals of the Europe 2020 Strategy.

RISER receives the EuroPriSe - European Privacy Seal for data protection
The European civil registration information service RISER has been awarded the EuroPriSe privacy seal for data protection by the Independent Centre for Privacy Protection Schleswig-Holstein as the first service for electronic resident register information. RISER ID Services GmbH is herewith the first address verification provider whose online services have been awarded for the processing of personal data in compliance with data protection standards. At the same time, the European Commission acknowledged RISER as a successful cross-border e-Government project.
